Cal. 50. S# 2245. Bbl. 24". Brass blade front sight. Elevator rear sight. Matching numbers on bbl. & upper tang. Unusual example w/o leather covering but does have a saddle ring which differs from army model. Left side of action marked w/ an 1859 patent date. Walnut stock w/ brass buttplate & sling swivel. CONDITION: stock has older added finish w/ scattered dings & handling wear. Metal is a dull gray patina w/ scattered oxidation & some light pitting. Dark pitted bore. (01-23705/MJC).
